Supervision & Consultation:

Supervision focuses on feedback, development of skills, and evaluation. My aim is to create a brave supervision space where you can explore yourself as therapist, bring forward your mis-steps or mistakes, and feel supported and empowered in the process. 

I can provide supervision to:

• RP (Qualifying)
• registered psychotherapists RP
• other therapists that are registered with a professional association or college (eg. OCSWSSW) that can practice psychotherapy

My qualifications:

• I have met CRPO requirements for a Clinical Supervisor
• I have over 60 hrs of training in clinical supervision. 
• I have direct clinical experience in solo private practice, group practice, children and family agency work including walk-in services, a university-based counselling centre, and crisis support line work
• I have experience delivering services in person, through virtual online format (encrypted video), and via telephone
•  I use an intersectional, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, and draw mostly from post-modern frameworks such as IFS, EMDR, ACT, and narrative therapy
• My client population presents with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, PTSD, complex trauma, relationship difficulties or conflict, burnout, life transitions, and grief. I have worked with specific populations including first responders, teachers, healthcare workers (physicians, nurses), and therapists

Consultation is more about sharing of experiences, insight, advice, and expertise on a particular matter between mental health professionals. 

Some topics that individuals may want to consult with me on include but are not limited to:

• difficult ethical/legal or mandatory reporting scenarios 
• challenging trauma-specific client cases
• practice considerations for highly sensitive (HSP) therapists
• IFS case conceptualization or helping you with incorporating newly learned IFS skills into your practice

In addition, I'm pleased to offer consultation services to your group practice or business as it pertains to trauma-informed care. Therapy clinic owners, I can speak to you and your clinicians about the use of IFS and introducing parts work to your clients.

My qualifications:

• I have 8+ years in trauma-specific trainings including basic EMDR, IFS Level 1 & 2 through the IFS Institute, trainings with Gabor Mate, Janina Fisher, Bessel van der Kolk, Frank Anderson and more
• I have direct clinical experience in working with adult survivors of developmental and relational trauma, including narcissistic abuse. 
• I have extensive experience providing trauma therapy to first responders and other professionals through WSIB community mental health program
• I have direct experience with mandatory reporting scenarios and professional/legal consultation available to RPs.
