Therapy Scheduling Policy

We understand that therapy is just one part of your life, and there may be times, especially during the warmer months or busy seasons, when you feel the need to reduce the frequency of your sessions or take a break altogether.

If you are considering a pause in therapy, we ask that you speak directly with your therapist to discuss your plans and how to best support your care during this time.

Please note the following:

  • Short Pauses (Less than 2 months): We will do our best to hold your regular spot in your therapist’s schedule, depending on availability and prior notice.

  • Longer Pauses (2 months or more): If your pause will extend beyond two months, your therapist may not be able to hold your usual time slot. We will aim to schedule a final check-in session before your break and will work to find you an appointment upon your return. However, there may be a wait to resume regular sessions, especially during times when our practice is full or operating a waitlist.

  • Communication is key: We strive to provide consistent and reliable support to all clients. Advance notice about planned pauses allows us to manage the schedule with care and consideration for everyone in our community.

If you know you'll need to take a break - whether planned or unexpected - please talk to your therapist as early as possible. Your well-being is important to us, and we're committed to finding the best path forward together.

If you have any questions about this policy or scheduling, feel free to contact us.
