Meet Marta Evans

Marta Evans, RP, M.Ed., C.C.C. - Owner, Psychotherapist, Certified IFS Therapist, Therapy Supervisor

Hey there. I'm Marta, owner and director, and one of your therapists at EFCP.

The short version:

I'm a therapist with over 30 years of experience helping people navigate life's challenges - anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, health-related issues - you name it. I use a unique approach, Internal Family Systems (IFS), to create a safe, supportive space where you can heal and grow. IFS helps you explore your inner world, fostering greater compassion, clarity, and confidence - key ingredients for creating the changes you desire in your life.

The long (and way more interesting) version:

Been there, done that! I'm a mom of 2 grown sons, grandmother to a wee little one, and a proud cat lady. I've also been on the other end of the therapy couch, dealing with trauma, depression, and panic attacks. So I get what it takes to be vulnerable and to face hard things with a therapist.

Lifelong learner. I regularly take courses and trainings,* and soak up new knowledge to be the best therapist that I can be. (Think of me as a therapy sponge!)

Compassionate explorer. Therapy should be a collaborative journey, not a lecture. I'll work with you to understand your unique story and find what works best for you.

Trauma-informed therapist. We'll navigate any past experiences that might be holding you back with a gentle and understanding approach.

Your biggest cheerleader. Change takes guts, and I'll be right by your side , celebrating your victories and offering support during the tough times.

Coffee connoisseur and vintage enthusiast. When I'm not helping people, you can find me buried behind a good book with a cup of coffee in my hand, hiking in nature, or searching for hidden treasures at vintage shops.

Oh, and I might be a bit introverted, but don’t mistake that for meekness. I'm an excellent listener with a bit of an edge. I'll ask you the questions that really matter, and meet you with compassion and curiosity while we tackle the tough stuff together.

So ....

If you're looking for a therapist who's down to earth, experienced, supportive, and a little bit edgy ... Let's chat!
