2SLGTBQIA+ Therapy & Support

EFCP firmly supports the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, affirming trans rights and inclusion

Members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community continue to face disproportionately higher rates of depression, anxiety, suicidality, substance use, and other mental health challenges (CAMH Ontario, 2024). These risks are often rooted in discrimination and systemic barriers to well-being. If you have experienced suffering or marginalization simply for being yourself, we are here to support you.

At EFCP, we celebrate gender and sexual diversity, providing therapy through a decolonizing, anti-oppressive, feminist, and trauma-informed lens. Heather, a queer, cisgender woman, Amy, and Marta are committed allies, helping clients navigate internalized homo/transphobia, the coming out journey, and the lifelong process of self-acceptance. We create space for all parts of you to be seen and heard—so that your true Self can heal and thrive.

Let's work together

Religious/spiritual trauma

Addressing religious/spiritual trauma in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community

For many in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, religion and spirituality can be deeply complex - sometimes a source of connection, but often a source of pain. If you have been hurt or traumatized by a religious or spiritual community, we are here to help you heal.

Heather specializes in supporting clients through religious and spiritual trauma. In a safe, affirming space, she will help you process your experiences, deconstruct harmful beliefs, and, if desired, explore new ways of engaging with spirituality on your own terms.
